This fragrance owes its name to the favoured status it enjoyed with the members of exclusive gentlemen's clubs of St James's who frequented Truefitts' Hair Cutting Rooms. It drew its origin from a fragrance initially formulated especially for The Great Exhibition of 1851, which was housed at the Crystal Palace, the 'Exhibition (1851) Bouquet'.
