Albert Fouquet, the son of a Parisian aristocrat, was a perfume connoisseur who created fragrances for personal use in his family château, with the help of his butler Philippe. He gained attention in elite social circles for his unique scent but consistently refused to sell it.\n\nIn 1937, while vacationing on the French Riviera, Albert met the young American John F. Kennedy, who was captivated by his perfume. Albert sent him personalized samples, and Kennedy requested more, including one for “Bob.” This led to the fragrance gaining popularity among influential Americans, including Hollywood stars.\n\nAfter Albert’s death in 1939, Philippe continued producing the perfume for a short time, hiding the final shipments during World War II. Decades later, the formula for “EIGHT & BOB” was fully recovered, and the fragrance became one of the world’s most exclusive scents.
