We welcome autumn with more intense, high-contrast olfactory compositions and exceptional creative narratives. Vanilla, iris, oud and amber notes take center stage in launches from Loewe, Amouage, Trudon, Initio, Tom Ford, Matière Première and Dior.
Perfume houses are also embracing higher concentrations – Extraits, Reserve editions and ultra-dense formulas – and reinterpreting vintage accords with contemporary codes. Craftsmanship and tradition meet cutting-edge innovation to create new olfactory emotions.
The beauty of imperfection from Loewe
Loewe breaks the rules with a collection of three fragrances that celebrate what is human and authentic. Their handcrafted, intentionally imperfect glass bottles become objects of desire.
- Iris Root: powdery elegance and woody warmth.
- Bittersweet Oud: modern oud with resinous intensity and subtle bitterness.
- Roasted Vanilla: toasted, addictive vanilla.
Balenciaga, a prestigious collection
"I am thrilled to present the new Balenciaga fragrance collection, almost 80 years after Cristóbal Balenciaga created his first fragrance, Le Dix, in 1947," says Raffaella Cornaggia, CEO of Kering Beauté.
Balenciaga returns to perfumery with a collection of ten ultra-selective fragrances, marking a new chapter in the maison's history. Coinciding with the arrival of Pierpaolo Piccioli as creative director, Kering Beauté revives Cristóbal Balenciaga's olfactory heritage, reintroducing his first creation, Le Dix (1947), in a bottle inspired by the original and reimagined for today.
The collection includes new creations such as No Comment, Getaria, Cristóbal and Incense Perfumum, blending vintage nostalgia with contemporary innovation. It reflects today's fascination with powdery, retro perfumes, offering olfactory facets capable of captivating diverse audiences.
The Merchant of Venice Cyprus Shell and the reinvention of Chypre
With Cyprus Shell, The Merchant of Venice expands the Murano Collection with a tribute to the ancient routes between Venice and the Orient. Inspired by the classic chypre formula, it reinterprets the "Noble Secrets of the Art of Perfumery" in a contemporary key. The result is a unisex aquatic floral fragrance that combines powdery iris with salty and marine notes.
- Top notes: juicy pear, salt crystals, and mandarin, bringing freshness.
- Heart notes: iris root, rose, and incense, for a sophisticated nuance.
- Base notes: Ambrofix™, musk, patchouli, and oakmoss, reinforcing its sensual, long-lasting character.
A refined fragrance linking Venetian tradition with modern perfumery.
Trudon Nuit Rouge Collection, powerful alchemy
Trudon explores nocturnal sensuality with Nuit Rouge, a trilogy of high concentration (20%) in ruby-red bottles. Created by Émilie Bouge and Yann Vasnier, it draws inspired from the magnetism of the occult.
- Midnight Omen: iris, leather, and sandalwood in an addictive ambery accord.
- 45°: ignites the skin with a carnal vanilla illuminated by honey and benzoin.
- Mystique: a spell of oud, amber, and dark woods.
Tom Ford Black Orchid Reserve, new intensity
Yann Vasnier reinterprets the iconic Black Orchid (2006) with a darker, more sophisticated edition. Black Orchid Reserve celebrates the contrast of light and shadow in an opulent, genderless perfume.
Black truffle and bergamot give way to a heart of black orchid and jasmine, on a base of dark chocolate, patchouli, tonka, and vanilla, intensified by Timut pepper and ghost orchid.
Matière Première Vanilla Powder Extrait de Parfum, sensual vanilla
Aurélien Guichard elevates Vanilla Powder to a new dimension with an Extrait that amplifies its magnetism. Fair for Life Madagascar Vanilla Absolute is overdosed and wrapped in modern white powders, making it more ethereal and addictive.
To complete the formula, the perfumer adds powdered Venezuelan tonka bean, lending voluptuous texture and enhancing the gourmand warmth of the vanilla, intensifying its seductive power.
"I contrasted this rich vanilla absolute with an overdose of modern white powder," explains Aurélien Guichard, founder and creative perfumer, about the new Matière Première Vanilla Powder Extrait de Parfum.
Amoauge Opus XVI Timber, noble wood
Amouage's Library Collection opens a new chapter with Opus XVI Timber, a creation by Alexis Grugeon under the direction of Renaud Salmon. Inspired by the wisdom of trees and the nobility of wood, it combines tradition and artistry with a 25% concentration and an artisanal process of maturation and maceration.
The fragrance reveals luminous yet profound layers:
- Top notes: cypress, cardamom, and lavandin.
- Heart notes: hojari incense, juniper, and Fir balsam.
- Base notes: guaiac, sandalwood, cedar, vetiver, and patchouli.
Initio Parfums Privés Can't Get Enough
In its Carnal Blends collection, Initio introduces Can't Get Enough, a gourmand floral that explores desire in its most addictive, like a shot of pure sugar.
Pink pepper and hypnotic rose blend with an overdose of Hedione, over a base of caramel, vanilla, and amber. Irresistible, provocative, and alluring, this creation is designed to capture the senses and challenge perfumery codes.
Miss Dior Essence, an olfactory manifesto
Miss Dior reinvents itself more boldly than ever in Essence, conceived by Francis Kurkdjian as a vibrant, sensual manifesto. Inspired by the pop-art spirit and youthful irreverence, it distills the DNA of the saga into a luminous, fruity composition unafraid of excess.
The fragrance opens with elderflower and juicy blackberry, reveals a heart of jasmine sambac that connects back to the 1947 tradition, and settles on a base of dark oak, bringing deep sensuality while contrasting with fruity vivacity. With the highest concentration in the line, Miss Dior Essence embodies an intense, colourful, liberated femininity.
