Edouard Fléchier

Fragrance creation is a "silent art" that plays on words to directly touch the soul.

Édouard Fléchier, master perfumer, was born in the heart of the legendary town of Grasse in 1949, where scents dance in the air. From a very early age, he felt a deep calling to this subtle art, this "silent art", as he likes to say, which plays on words to touch the soul directly. After studying science, he trained in perfumery, a world that can be understood not just with the intellect, but with a rare sensitivity.
He joined Roure in the 1970s, where he made a name for himself thanks to his ability to transform raw materials into olfactory emotions. But it was in the 1990s that he reached the sublime with his collaboration with Frédéric Malle. It was here that he created Une Rose, a fragrance that overturned traditional codes, reinventing the rose in a bold, intoxicatingly modern way. He explores all the facets of this mythical flower, exploring its intensity and softness, sensuality and freshness, giving it a place of its own in the world of contemporary perfumery.
Beyond his impeccable technique, Fléchier is a poet of scents. Each perfume he creates is an invitation to a journey, an exploration of the self through the prism of nature and artifice. He creates works that don't just seduce, but speak to the soul, evoking buried memories or inspiring new emotions. In the bustling world of luxury perfumery, Édouard Fléchier remains a craftsman of the sublime, an alchemist of the senses whose work continues to leave its mark on olfactory history.
