AMAZONIAN ROSE

The journey that Amazonian Rose proposes has a very specific destination: Hacienda La Vega, the impressive residence of the Herrera family in the heart of Caracas, a refined paradise that for decades hosted the most elegant salons of Venezuelan society. The garden of La Vega was the true jewel of the house. In this garden stood an imposing specimen, Brownea grandiceps, a tree known as the Rose of Venezuela despite not formally belonging to the botanical family of roses. The reason is its spectacular flowers, grouped in large clusters to form a true spectacle of nature. “It is a unique and magical botanical species that represents the beauty of Venezuela and Latin America. And for our family, it’s a kind of metaphor for my own mother, whom we affectionately call Rosa de Venezuela,” explains Carolina A. Herrera, Creative Director. “Creating this fragrance based on this memory is, therefore, a tribute to her, as brave, vibrant, and full of surprises as the Rosa de Venezuela.”
