Artisan Perfumer at Loewe Perfumes
Nuria Cruelles, the nose behind Loewe Perfumes. Born in 1983, Nuria began her relationship with perfumes from a very young age. She recounts that even as a child, she would sniff everything, fascinated by the aromas and learning to interpret them. That's how she started collecting her first fragrances and training her sense of smell. At the age of 17, sitting in her room, she knew she wanted to dedicate herself entirely to the world of perfumery and got to work.
After graduating in Chemistry and specializing in the luxury and oenology universe, she became part of IFF (International Flavors & Fragances) company, where she started her career alongside Emilio. She has devoted a significant part of her professional career to this company, stating that she has learned, grown, and evolved at every stage and challenge within it.
During her years abroad, she discovered new goals and began designing perfumes for various renowned brands in the world of perfumery and cosmetics. This is where she claims to have made her big leap. Upon returning to Spain, she started to explore the more creative side of her work, discovering new worlds like the Middle East and making it one of her passions.
Wine is another passion of hers. Her love for the olfactory world led her to become a sommelier in addition to being a perfumer, a quality that very few perfumers in the world possess and makes her a unique and special nose. It's a gift she has exploited and now has the pleasure of sharing with Loewe.
Currently, the perfumer continues her legacy by creating all the fragrances for Loewe Perfumes in collaboration with the brand's creative director, Jonathan Anderson.
