Juliette Karagueuzoglou

Creating olfactory markers for people and for their families, markers that last, connections, lasting adventures, enduring memories, a form of
eternity.

What is striking when you are with Juliette is her laugh, a big, beautiful, full, short and effusive laugh. You can feel her strength and warmth in it. Her whole body lives in unison with this laughter. With it, her eyes sparkle and rest like a bird on a branch waiting for the next explosion. "I love the emotion, that emotional richness that builds up going to concerts or any live performance. I love to feel alive, to feel myself resonate, to feel my body shudder, to cry. These moments of life or emotion make me feel more alive. This emotional force drives me and makes me realise that I am alive. The feeling of life, of joy, is my driving force". And Juliette never wants to stop. She wants to devour life.
And to do so, Juliette takes to the cities, exploring them on foot. "Because it is only by walking that you can appreciate the details and diversity. Paris and New York are her favourite cities, two places of knowledge, brimming with life, two beacons in her education, two places full of libraries. "I love libraries and bookshops. These books are so rich. When you live in Paris, you realise what a treasure you have when you have so many books, so many places to study".
Juliette knew from an early age that she wanted to be a perfumer. So she started by going to Isipca's open day and focusing on science. "I joined Isipca in 1999 and became a perfumer in 2007. You have to meet the right people at the right time". Juliette likes to retrace her steps, to remember her student life, which she lived to the fullest, like in a film, with the Left Bank. "I was on the Jussieu Campus and the Jardin des Plantes was my everyday environment, with its mix of science and nature. It's a place that feels a bit out of time, with its incredible exhibitions, its science museums, its tropical greenhouse and its collection of wild animals, all really exotic, right in the centre of Paris". He adds: "I love science, it's a bottomless well of constantly evolving knowledge.
