Jean Guichard

Jean Guichard is a renowned French perfumer, recognised as much for his creations as for his role as a teacher.
Born with a keen sense of smell, he discovered at an early age that perfume could be a language.
He trained in perfumery at Givaudan, one of the great houses of the profession, and began a career marked by precision, accuracy and discretion.


His creations, for prestigious brands such as Estée Lauder, Calvin Klein and Dior, combine balance and emotion, without ever going overboard.
But it was also as a teacher that he left a deep imprint: for many years he directed Givaudan's perfumery school in Paris.
There, he trained many talented individuals who are now recognised noses, patiently passing on his love of the craft.
