The Opéra de Paris and its corps de ballet. Haute Couture and its designers. The world of fragrance and its artistic imagery. Three spheres defined by discipline and rigour, culture and determination, which inspire this man with his slender build on a daily basis. Francis Kurkdjian rapidly found his way into the close ranks of well- known perfumers, inspiring admiration and jealousy along the way - sometimes both at once.
Francis owes his talent to his commitment, no doubt helped by his passion for art and for this world of fragrance that he discovered as an adolescent. But most of all, he owes it to that desire never to let down those who put their faith in him: a winning attitude that let him create world-renowned fragrances very soon after graduating from the ISIPCA fragrance and cosmetics school, design custom fragrances, give an olfactory touch to artistic installations the world over and then in 2009, set up his eponymous fragrance maison, a stake in which he sold to the LVMH group in 2017. And on top of that, this perfumer-creator has worked at the Takasago company since 2005, creating numerous successful fragrances.
He also passes on his know-how to the company’s young perfumers, education being close to his heart.
