"I find inspiration by walking alone in cities or looking out of the window of a plane for hours on end. Even if a lot of my ideas don't make sense to me when I land…".
Camille Goutal, daughter of Annick Goutal, creator of the eponymous brand, first worked as a studio and interior photographer before turning to perfumery. After the death of her mother in 1999, she decided to carry on the family legacy by teaming up with Isabelle Doyen, a perfumer and long-time collaborator of Annick Goutal. She began her apprenticeship by weighing formulas in their shared laboratory, developing her expertise in olfactory creation.
A highly visual creator, Camille Goutal was artistic director of the Voyages Imaginaires brand, for which she produced all the photographs. She is also the author of numerous fragrances for Goutal alongside Isabelle Doyen, including Songes, Mon Parfum Chéri and Ambre Fétiche, creations that are particularly close to her heart.
In 2020, Camille Goutal and Isabelle Doyen launched their own brand, Voyages Imaginaires, with the ambition of using only natural materials and organic wheat alcohol, reflecting their commitment to authentic, environmentally-friendly perfumery.
Camille Goutal draws her inspiration from her passions for reading, painting exhibitions and her eclectic taste in music and the arts. This sensory richness feeds her olfactory creations, where she "uses all her senses at once" to create fragrances imbued with emotion and poetry.
