Production

As with all citrus fruits, cedrat oil is an essential oil extracted by cold expression from the peel of the fruit of the cedrat tree (Citrus Medica), a highly fragrant ancient citrus fruit. It is mainly produced in the Mediterranean, particularly in Calabria and Corsica.
