A basilica that looks like a cathedral, hidden among the buildings of the Gothic quarter, suddenly, Santa Maria del Mar surprises us, imposing, majestic, but much more so when one enters and is impressed by the grandeur of its spaces, its columns, the height of its arches and the depth of its corridors.
Its stone walls provide a distinctive mineral note that is incorporated into the structure of the perfume, in which incense is the main protagonist. Dressed with the woody notes of the countless pews for the parishioners, I have worked on a perfume with a chord of dry woods and ingredients that provide these mineral facets and envelop the powerful smell of the incense resin, softened with a slight chord of wax from the candles found in the chapels. The most original and exclusive point is the addition of a scent of christianar oils that refreshes and softens the mineral notes and the incense.
