Beyond beliefs and superstition, a scent has the power to make us feel something, and that’s what happens with ingredients such as lavender. This plant has been used for centuries to calm and relax, but it’s not the only scent that has this effect.


Different studies confirm that lavender helps reducing the stress and relaxes our senses, that’s why it’s used in therapies, massages and beauty treatments. But nowadays it’s also used in some stores to calm and lower stress levels from potential consumers.

Lavender helps sleeping, calms anxiety and reduces stress, but it’s not the only smell that brings comfort. Considering the space and environment you want to create in your home you can use different kind of fragrances:


To create a relaxing environment where you can find a peace of mind and leave the day-to-day stress behind, you can try to use citrus notes, lavender, cotton and roses. The latter help with sleep, fight fatigue and contribute coping with depression. This scent creates a sense of wellness.


If you want to create a cozy, warm home, with a personal twist and a more intense fragrance, try using oud, musk palo santo or patchouli. Cinnamon it’s great during winter and creates a comforting effect but also helps balancing emotions and reduce exhaustion.
