Fabrice Pellegrin

The spirit of Grasse runs in Fabrice's blood. His father was a perfumer; his grandmother a jasmine picker and his grandfather a supplier of naturals for perfumery. For him, memories of Grasse are woven with images of olive and cypress trees, wide open spaces, the sun, chirping cicadas, smiling friends and a steady pace of life, as well as time spent with the older generations

The spirit of Grasse runs through Fabrice's veins. His father was a perfumer, his grandmother, a beloved jasmine picker, and his grandfather, a supplier of naturals for perfumery. Fabrice is still very attached to the region. For him, memories of Grasse are interwoven with images of olive and cypress trees, wide open spaces, the sun, the song of cicadas, smiling friends and a steady pace of life, as well as time spent with the older generations: "the people of Grasse are reserved, they keep their knowledge preciously hidden, but when they divulge it, they give it away completely".
Fabrice Pellegrin trained by working closely with experienced professionals. He paid close attention to the various stages through which raw materials must pass on their journey from harvest to perfume. In addition to his role as a creative perfumer, Fabrice is also involved in the development of natural products at Firmenich. For the past 15 years, he has been dividing his time between Paris and the research laboratories in Grasse.
This generous and serious perfumer takes pleasure in extolling the virtues of his passion to pupils in local schools. He is determined that his know-how should be passed on from generation to generation and it is no wonder that his eldest son is about to become a perfumer. For Fabrice, there is nothing more flattering than being imitated. He is also a firm believer in the power of education: "It is important that we share our knowledge, exchanging ideas and being open. Nobody has the truth. Like the fashion world, perfumery is constantly redesigning, rewriting and setting trends.
His humility and perseverance are two indispensable qualities for someone in his profession. On the back of his watch he has engraved "Carpe Diem", a reminder of the passage of time for this impatient man, telling us what matters most to this brilliant perfumer: "make the most of the time you have".
