History

Native to Central Asia, apple trees grow in temperate climates. Blossoming in delicate shades of white and pink, the flowers of apple trees bloom in unison with the budding of its leaves. The “king bloom”—the central flower of the inflorescence—opens first and gradually grows a larger fruit. There are many varieties of this succulent fruit, including Granny Smith, Golden, Pink Lady and Rennet. The mouth-wateringly crisp fruit grows in warm shades of red, orange, yellow and green and varies in taste—from delightfully sour to sickly sweet.
