Fresh Perfumes

I am looking for a fresh perfume.

I am looking for a fresh perfume.

Not so long ago, this phrase referred to a light fragrance, the kind that is usually worn during warm weather and almost always with citrus notes. But this concept has gone further, expanding its meaning with a new nuance: well-being.

Fresh perfumes are those that remind you of that clean set of sheets when you go to sleep, a freshly worn T-shirt, the summer sun, that first swim in the sea or the rain when you are almost home. All these sensations evoke freshness and are like a breeze of fresh air for the skin, the perfect antidote for Monday mornings before going to work or for that laundry that seems to have no end. Studies show that fragrances have the power to affect our mood, to reduce stress and relax muscles, so it's no surprise that fresh scents are so popular.

There are many ways to bring freshness to a perfume, from marine notes with an aquatic scent and salty touches, to the mythical citrus or through aromatic herbs and green notes. Another possibility is to create that facet of freshness through molecules such as dihydromyrcenol, which can have a multitude of nuances depending on the ingredients with which it is combined.

We highlight some of the most popular fresh fragrances

**Cool Water by Davidoff**, one of the pioneers in this classification, a fragrance created in 1988 and still very used. Its freshness evokes the sea in all its splendor with notes of lavender, mint, orange blossom, moss, rosemary, sandalwood, amber and jasmine.

**Acqua di Parma**, with its signature perfume Colonia, created in 1916, a highlight in perfumery history, a scent that is part of the olfactory memory of many people.
